Hi everyone, just a reminder that SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!! We are very excited to have our students back at St. Matthew School for another wonderful school year. The main parking lot will still be available please just use caution!

ADA Status Update!!

Hey everyone! Just a little Monday reminder that our parish does have a challenge going on! Chris, our ADA chair, challenged us to increase the % of families responding to our appeal from 12% to 30% in just two weeks!! Well, we have made some significant progress! As of last Friday we had upped that to 20%!! This is before we count the envelopes from last Sunday’s collection. Keep up the Good Work!

Congratulations to The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George!

Today, our priests, Principal Biggs, and other staff members are in Alton, Illinois to witness the First Profession of Vows for the new members of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George. This religious order has served St. Matthew Parish for many years. Currently, we have 3 sisters who teach at St. Matthew School and two other sisters from our convent serve at The High School of St. Thomas More. Please offer some prayers today for this wonderful community of sisters who give so much to build up the Church here in Champaign! https://altonfranciscans.org/

Excellent Conference at Notre Dame!

This past week Fr. Brokaw, DRE, Joe Taylor, and our new Director of Evangelization, Katie Race attended a conference hosted by Evangelical Catholic at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend. Stay tuned for all the exciting details as we look forward to launching this program at our parish!

UPDATE Mass Schedule August 1 & 2

We were able to obtain priest coverage for August 2nd after the bulletin went to print, so WE WILL have Mass Friday morning at 7am. Thursday evening Confessions and Mass are still cancelled for next week, August 1st. We apologize for the confusion.

5:00pm Confessions and 5:30pm Mass on this Thursday, June 20th are cancelled.  Our priests will be traveling to Peoria to celebrate our Diocesan Jubilarians (those priests with 25, 35, & 50 years of service) at a Mass of Thanksgiving in our Cathedral.

Pray for our First Communicants!

Please keep our First Communicants in prayer this Saturday as we will celebrate two Masses where they will receive Our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist for the first time!! Students from both our CCD program and St. Matthew School will be participating.
