Instructions for the 2017-2018 Spalding Scholarship Application, Tuition Assistance, and Pastor Recommendation Request
Follow the steps below to apply for the 2016-2017 Spalding Scholarship and Tuition Assistance. All families applying for St. Matthew Tuition Assistance MUST apply for the Spalding Scholarship.
Checklist for a Spalding Scholarship Application
☐ Thoroughly read the Financial Aid Instructions for details on how to complete the application process.
☐ Submit the FACTS Grant & Aid Application online (preferred) or by mail. See contact information below. online.factsmgt.com/aid
☐ Pay the $30 application fee to FACTS Management Company.
☐ Upload, fax or mail your 2016 federal income tax return and ALL supporting tax schedules and documents to FACTS Management Company.
☐ Upload, fax or mail your 2016 W-2 Wage & Tax Statements to Facts Management Company.
☐ Ask your parish pastor to submit a recommendation to the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools that your family is in good standing in the parish. Pastor Recommendation Form

Note: The one page, diocesan application is no longer required.
**Families must apply each year. All grants are for one year only.
Please note deadlines:
– March 8, 2017: Pastor Recommendation Request due to the parish office.
– March15, 2017: FACTS Grant & Aid application and supporting documents due online.
Only registered members of St. Matthew parish are eligible for assistance.
Any applications received past the above deadlines will not be able to be considered for assistance/scholarship.
Notification of scholarship awards will be made by the end of April.
